All posts for the month February, 2012

The Atlantic Canadian beer festival scene continues to grow with the latest edition being the Saint John Beer Festival.   The inaugural event will take place on April 14th from 7-9:30 at the Market Square Atrium.  Tickets, which are $49.50 each,  will be limited due to the size of the location and are available at the Harbour Station box office.

I’ll post more information about the event as it becomes available.  Check out their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter (@SJBeerFest) for more information.

As  mentioned on the Big Tide Brewing Facebook page, Patrice Godin from Acadie-Broue will be in Saint John this Saturday at 4pm to discuss his “La Gaboteuse” which is a Belgian IPA.

If in Saint John take the opportunity to stop by, sample the brew and have a chat with Patrice.  The new brew is currently available on tap at Big Tide and is available for sale in growlers as well.

As reported on their Facebook page, Shiretown Beer is available again at the Artisan Cafe & Brewpub in Dalhousie, New Brunswick.

Hops on for Nowhere, an American West Coast IPA with strong aroma and bitterness, is now available on tap and in growlers.  Production is not running at full capacity as of yet but their Blonde du Quai and Big Brown Ale will hopefully be available in the near future.
