Multiple Members of the Brewnosers Win at the Canadian Amateur Brewing Awards

Several members of the Halifax based Brewnosers homebrewing club recently won awards at the Canadian Amateur Brewing Association 2012 Anything Goes Competition.  Members of the club winning awards were:

Beers of Belgium Beer Tasting Event to Take Place in Sackville, NB July 28th

A Belgium themed beer tasting will take place at Pickles Deli in Sackville, NB this Saturday night at 8pm.  The event will be hosted by local beer blogger Dave Evans (aka Beer Maven) and will feature the following beers:  Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Leffe Blonde, Orval and Unibroue’s Belgian inspired La Fin Du Monde.

In addition to samples of the above beers, each ticket includes unlimited appetizer-sized sandwiches. Tickets for the event are $25 each and are available from Pickles or by phone at 506-939-DELI.

Beer list available for Halifax Seaport Beerfest

The list of beers for this year’s Halifax Seaport BeerFest is now available on the event’s website.  A total of 213 beverages will be available including 5 gluten-free beer, 8 ciders, 37 from Maritime breweries, 45 from Quebec, 42 from Ontario, 4 from Western Canada, 4 from national breweries, 25 from the US and 43 international brews.

Garrison Brewing Co., Hell Bay Brewing, Moosehead Brewery, PEI Brewing Co., Picaroons Brewery, Pump House Brewery (tentative), Rockbottom Brewpub and Rogues Roost are the Maritime breweries scheduled to participate.
