Hell Bay’s new seasonal (Dark Lager) to be available this weekend in growlers.

Lots of Rockbottom news:  Slightly tweaked Fathom IPA available today.  Tomorrow’s firkin is Blackened IPA which is described as “in all its fresh hoppy glory fortified with Sinamar making for some seriously black goodness.”  Brewnoser BPA (Belgian Pale Ale) is scheduled to be on tap by the middle of next week.

Cask conditioned Picaroons Timber Hog available now at Garrison District Ale House.  Picaroons is having an Easter keg hunt with a chance to win a brewery tour.  Picaroons is working towards having more local, organic hops in their brews.

…and another one to help plan that beer related roadtrip you’ve been meaning to take.

This past February Propeller Brewery started offering up one off brews on the first of the month in a limited release.  These beers will be available in growlers only at the Prop Shop on 2015 Gottingen St. Halifax.

The second in the series, available this coming Thursday, is Munich Style Dark Lager.  Check out the What’s New section of the Propeller site for a description of the beer and history of the style.


Propeller and the Foggy Goggle have announced the latest combinations available for their Three Course Thursday (TCT) event.  For February 16th the menu will consist of:

  • Asparagus and spinach IPA soup paired with a 30z sample of Propeller IPA
  • An entrée of either Porter Braised & Roasted Beef Short Ribs with White bean Ragout, French Lentil Mousse and Local Apple Cider Sautéed Brussel Sprouts or a vegetarian option of White Bean Stuffed House Made Cannelloni simmered in a roasted tomato and porter sauce with either option paired with a 30z sample of Propeller Porter
  • Coffee and Bitter Crème Brulee on a Frangipane (Dense coconut Cake) Crust for desert paired with a 30z sample of Propeller Bitter

All of the above is available for $25 plus tax and is available from 5pm until close.
